The Clayton County Conservation Board recently received two donations from the Whistlin'Bit Saddle Club. In February, the Saddle Club made a $100 donation to the Conservation Board for on-going maintenance and upkeep of the Pony Hollow Trail near Elkader.

At the April 12, 2011 Conservation Board Meeting, the club donated trail etiquette signs which will be placed at each entrance to Pony Hollow Trail. The trail signs show how each user group is to properly meet along the trail.

Pony Hollow Trail is a four mile, lime chip, multi use trail located across from the Elkader City Park and runs to 250th St. The trail is enjoyed by residents and visitors to Northeast Iowa.

 Whistlin’ Bit,

Thank you for your donation of $100 and trail signs for Pony Hollow Trail.

Your donations are greatly appreciated and will help to keep the trail up and running.

Thanks again for your time, donation and partnership.
